Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients:

250 g button mushrooms
30 ml ( 2 T) butter or margarine
30 ml (2 T) cake flour
250 ml (1 cup) milk
salt, pepper & nutmeg to taste

Method:

1. It is unnecessary to wash the mushrooms.  Simply
wipe them with a damp tea towel or absorbent
paper, slice and sauté in the butter.

2.  Gradually stir in the cake flour and then add the
milk to make a white sauce.

3.  Flavour with salt, pepper & nutmeg.

4.  Ideal with a roast or as a filling for pancakes.
