Ireland
Our Main Page
Ireland, also known as the Emerald Isle, the birthright heritage of my beloved son Aiden, conjures
up overwhelming images and sentiments as we explore this magnificent island, the geography,
the people, the history, the myths and fantasies, legends, symbols, food,
literature, music and
more.  Ireland and
St Patrick's Day is not just for the Irish :)

Please click on the live links to take you on a virtual journey of a lifetime as you experience the
warmth and hospitality of the Irish Nation, the
tragedies & triumphs of their history, the geography
of their beautiful country and the pride instilled in the Irish people of their roots and heritage.

This is Ireland, the land of the leprechaun, rainbow and pot o'gold.
Angela's Ashes - This is a story written by Frank McCourt, one of my favourite authors,
human beings and someone with whom I wish I could spend hours and hours listening to his
anecdotes of his life.  This is a true story based on his early life, and followed by the movie
which is as close to the book as I ever came across.

An Illustrated History of Ireland   Read online            Download the Book

This beautifully illustrated 555 pg book speaks of the land, the heritage, the geography &
history of the people % their contribution to Ireland and Irish heritage, the roles they
played and forms part of the historical timeline I have tried to create in celebration of
Ireland,
St Patrick's Day and Irish Heritage Month, and all fall within our March Educator's
Calendar. My information is derived and adapted from extremely old
Public Domain
Information. This document is ideal for homeschooling, can be adapted for younger or
older students and has a place in a Collection of
Irish Literature.

Blarney is celebrated the world over for a stone on the parapet that is said to endow
whoever kisses it with the eternal gift of eloquence (in Irish 'solabharthact') - the 'Gift of
the Gab'.
