In Defence of Animals-Africa's Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue
Centre provides sanctuary to chimpanzee orphans of the illegal
bushmeat trade ranging in age from 2 to 40 years. IDA-Africa wages
an extensive education and sensitization campaign to raise
awareness of the laws against killing, capturing, and eating
chimpanzees and gorillas. Working in collaboration with the
Cameroon government,  IDA-Africa works to conserve Cameroon's
great apes through law enforcement and public education to raise
awareness of the plight of endangered chimpanzees and gorillas.
