| Ink Hearts Materials: White paper towels Black non-permanent marking pen Water Small brushes Preparation: Draw a large black heart outline on a paper towel for each child Method: Let your children brush water over their black heart outlines. Soon the dye in the lines will start to bleed, showing the many colors actually in the black ink. Some colors will spread faster than others, leaving definite color rings around the heart outlines. Glitter Hearts Here are many fun and creative Valentine craft activities for Preschool. Materials: Finger paint paper Red finger paint White liquid glue Paintbrushes Glitter Method: Have the children use red paint to finger print designs on their piece of paper. When the papers have dried, cut them out into large Valentine hearts (or let the children cut out their hearts if they are able to use a pair of scissors). The have the children brush white liquid glue on their hearts and sprinkle them with glitter. |
